How do I keep two BOAT01 or BOAT02 buoys apart drifting off the stern?Updated a year ago

If you are using two BOAT01s or BOAT02s off the stern of your vessel, one tied to each side trailing behind, you can find that the buoys may drift towards each other, pulled in by the current or wind.

One option to keep the two BOAT buoys apart to maximize the size of the protective swimming area is to attach a collapsible fiber glass pole between them. Simply tie each end of the pole to the buoy and this will hold them apart as they float behind the vessel.

An example of the type of pole recommended please see the link here, the maximum distance the buoys should be apart is 6 meters or 19 feet.
