Do I have to install the tail pad with my decal antenna?Updated a year ago

The decal antenna has been designed to fit multiple board sizes, and the way we have achieved this flexibility is by allowing a large cable distance between the bottom electrode and the tail pad deck housing, the "L" shaped section in the image below. 

Any excess length is then folded and hidden under the tail pad (see attached images). The tail pad hides the folds so not using a tail pad leaves this exposed with a very high risk of it being caught on your foot, or over time, this part of the decal antenna lifting. 

We strongly recommend that at all times you install the tail pad for these reasons.
