How does the FISH01 / FISH02 work?Updated 8 months ago

The FISH01 & FISH02 uses Shark Shield Technology, the world's most scientifically proven and independently tested electrical shark deterrent technology. Nothing is more effective.

Sharks have short-range electrical receptors in their snouts called the "Ampullae of Lorenzini" that are used for finding food at close range. The FISH01 & FISH02 emits a three-dimensional electrical field that overstimulates these sensitive receptors, causing the shark to turn away. This does not harm the shark in any way, merely causes it to experience a high level of short-term discomfort in the form of muscular spasms. Think of it as the same way we would turn away if a bright light was shone into our eyes in the dark.

The FISH01& FISH02 consists of three electrodes positioned along a 6.8m (22') flexible antenna, which, when submerged, produces the electrical field that surrounds the area. Subsea grade connectors attach the antenna to the industrial strength power module. It is powered by a heavy duty 10-12-hour rechargeable lithium battery, or from your vessel's 12V/24V charging point. The power module is depth rated up to 200m (656') for fishing.
